21^st Course: Astroparticle Physics: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

We will present the methods used to detect different classes of gravitational waves (modeled and un-modeled transients, periodic signals, stochastic backgrounds). We will describe the signals detected so far with LIGO and Virgo detectors: several mergers of black hole binary systems and the merger of a binary neutron star system, which also generated electromagnetic signals.
